Tobacco Cessation Program

Cancer is the second leading cause of death in Maryland after heart disease and one in four deaths in Maryland are due to cancer. Our oncology outreach supports the growth of cancer services at both Shady Grove Adventist Hospital and Washington Adventist Hospital.

Our Inpatient Tobacco Cessation Program offers counseling on smoking cessation to all inpatients at Washington Adventist Hospital. This effort provides nicotine replacement therapy and follow-up with patients to support them as they quit smoking.
