Pastoral Care

Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital recognizes that spirituality is an integral part of life. For those who are ill, it can be an essential part of the healing process. Therefore, pastoral care services are available to all patients, as well as their family members. The staff chaplain is available for support and counseling during the week and is on-call 24 hours a day. A Rabbi and Roman Catholic priest make rounds weekly and Eucharistic Ministers bring communion to Roman Catholic patients daily. Devotional resources are available upon request, as well as kosher and vegetarian diets, religious music, and supportive reading material. Religious services are conducted periodically. Discharge planning is also offered when there is a need for ongoing pastoral counseling or home visitation.
