Awards, Accreditations & Recognition
Washington Adventist Hospital has been continually recognized as a regional leader in cardiac care. For example, the hospital’s Accredited Chest Pain Center was the first in the D.C. region to attain the highest level of accreditation, Level III with PCI, which recognizes high-quality care and rapid, life saving treatment given to chest pain patients. In 2011, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) awarded Washington Adventist Hospital a Three-Star rating for heart surgery – the highest possible quality rating in this category.
