Mended Hearts Visiting Program
The weeks and months leading up to life saving cardiac surgery and beyond, can often be an unnerving experience for you. You may have questions about the procedure itself, or how your body will respond during its recovery.
Volunteers at Washington Adventist Hospital play an integral part in helping us carry out our mission to deliver excellent health care through a ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. Volunteers from the local Chapter of The Mended Hearts, Inc. have undergone complex heart surgery themselves and have been visiting heart patients at Washington Adventist Hospital for over 30 years.
Recently, The Mended Hearts and The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, teamed up with Washington Adventist Hospital to expand the visiting program to include the Catheterization (Cath) and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab patients.
