The Joint Replacement
Center at Washington Adventist
Hospital
We know how you feel. A stiff, painful knee or hip can interfere with your
daily life, making even walking difficult.
The decision for a joint replacement
can be a scary one. Thanks to breakthroughs in surgical techniques and
materials, your orthopedic surgeon can replace your problem joint using a safe,
reliable procedure that will enable you to resume many of the activities you
enjoy without pain. At Washington Adventist, we’ve not only thought about how
you feel, we’ve designed a special place focused specifically on your joint
replacement experience.
It starts with our philosophy: you aren’t sick, you just have a bad knee or
hip. We have a pre-surgery class for you and your “coach” that will give you a
chance to get all of your questions answered. And we don’t plan to admit you to just any room. We created The Joint Replacement
Center at Washington
Adventist Hospital. The newly renovated unit has all private rooms and is
staffed by a coordinated care team made up of specially trained orthopedic
nurses, patient care techs, physical therapists, occupational therapists and a
patient educator. The team is dedicated to your care from pre and
postoperative education, to rehabilitation and recovery. We even have special
food options for you! We share your goal, helping to get you or your loved one
back to a normal life that’s free of joint pain as quickly and safely as
possible.
