Cancer Care Navigator

Being told you have cancer can be one of life's most stressful moments. The emotions associated with a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming - and you must cope with them at the same time that you have to make important treatment decisions. Our Cancer Care Navigator can provide you and your family a guiding hand.

In 2006, Washington Adventist Hospital introduced our Cancer Care Navigator - a nursing professional who serves as a guide for patients and families towards understanding cancer diagnosis, treatment and the multiplicity of other factors that impact the experience.

Meet Your Cancer Care Navigator

Traudi Rose, RN, MBA
Cancer Care Navigator

Traudi Rose is the Cancer Care Navigator for Washington Adventist Hospital. Traudi is a professional nurse, who has broad experience working with persons with cancer. She has worked in the field of oncology in a variety of settings, as a travel nurse. Traudi has also recently completed her MBA (Master of Business Administration).

Traudi’s goal as cancer care navigator is to be an advocate for all who have cancer, for those who are concerned about cancer, and for the persons caring for individuals with cancer. She is a guide and personal care coach. In this role, she can facilitate access to services, be a source of accurate information, coordinate and connect persons with cancer and their families to financial, transportation, rehabilitation and psychosocial support, which may be difficult to access on one’s own. Services available include those provided by Washington Adventist Hospital, as well as those provided throughout the expanded community.

For our Cancer Care Navigator, no question is too great, or too personal, or too difficult. The navigator is there throughout the entire process, from diagnosis, through treatment and follow-up, even helping family and friends with their questions. The Navigator ensures a seamless experience—helping connect the individual with the best of care, and assuring compassion along the way.
