As you experience the loss of your little one, Washington Adventist Hospital is here to support you in your grieving process. This is a FREE community service offered by Pastoral Care Services.
Losing a baby has a way of shattering dreams, hopes, expectations, plans and hearts. It can affect the way you function in daily life, and you may feel like life is forever changed.
The Empty Arms, Aching Heart Support Group offers a nurturing environment:
- Where mothers, fathers and others who are grieving the loss of a baby are welcome
- Where each one may share as he/she wishes, and receive support from the group
- Where helpful information is available on:
- Coping with holidays and anniversaries of loss
- Ways to honor and memorialize your baby within your heart and family
- Understanding how grieving may differ between mothers and fathers
- Other issues unique to miscarriage, pregnancy loss, stillbirth and infant death

The Empty Arms, Aching Heart Support Group meets at Washington Adventist Hospital on the 3rd Thursday of every month, 7:30 9:30pm, in Conference Room A on Lower Level II, near the cafeteria. To register or to ask questions, please call (301) 891-5265.
