Expanding Access to Care
Since 1907, Washington Adventist Hospital has been dedicated to providing high-quality care to the communities we serve. As the hospital did over a hundred years ago, it continues to strive to remain ahead. For this reason, we are in the process of building a new state-of-the-art hospital to meet the area's growing health and wellness needs. The relocated hospital, together with the continued use of our Takoma Park campus, will continue Washington Adventist Hospital's history of strengthening the region's health-care infrastructure and expanding access to care for all.
White Oak
Adventist HealthCare has purchased land to relocate Washington Adventist Hospital near White Oak along the border of Montgomery and Prince George’s counties, in the heart of the hospital's current service area.
The new site will allow for a modern health-care facility offering 21st century whole-person care. Patients will receive care in private rooms, with more space for clinical care, and state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
Takoma Park
Washington Adventist Hospital is committed to ensuring that there is continued access to needed primary health-care services in Takoma Park and its surrounding communities now, and in the future. The continued use of our Takoma Park campus as the Village of Education, Health and Wellbeing, combined with the relocated hospital in White Oak, will further our mission to strengthen the region’s health care infrastructure and expand access to quality health-care in the communities we serve.
Next Century Health
Next Century Health is Adventist HealthCare’s commitment to serving as a leader to transform healthcare. Based on a heritage of whole-person health and healing, the Next Century Health (NCH) initiative serves as a forward-looking platform that identifies, encourages, and implements innovative solutions that improve the health of people and communities nationwide.
